Conejos River Outfitters is a full service outfitting business.  We specialize in making your outdoor experience the best it can be, personally tailored to meet your needs.  We base out of Platoro's historic Skyline Lodge, located in the heart of Colorado's southern San Juan Mountains.  If your interest is elk hunting, we specialize in providing you with the highest quality hunts for the best price you'll find anywhere.  We offer guided pack in hunts, guided hunts on a private ranch and drop camp hunts during Archery, Muzzle loader and Rifle seasons.  Our private lease is located on a 1000 acre ranch, that is situated at a lower altitude in the middle of the southern elk migration route, providing you with a top quality hunt without having to pack in on horseback.  If fishing is more to your liking, we can fly fish the spectacular Conejos River for trophy trout or ride in on horseback to access remote back country, high mountain lakes and streams. 
The very best way to experience and explore Colorado's back country is on horseback.  No matter what your experience level, we can work with you to set up a safe and enjoyable ride for you and your family.  We offer rides by the hour out of The Skyline Lodge.  Longer rides such as half day, full day, or mutiple day pack trips are what we specialize in.  The longer rides allow for the time it takes to get into places like Blue Lake, Conejos Falls and Colorado's Continental Divide.  You're always welcome to bring your own horses; we'll be glad to board them for you right at the lodge, just call in advance for reservations.
